Jazz & Americana Artists Come Together In 2017

In the "Roaring 1920s" the advent of mass media allowed our forefathers to preserve their messages in records, cylinders, and print publishing. Hearing the first Jazz recording on Phonograph in 1917 would have felt like experiencing a first generation iPod in 2001. The Telegraph was as groundbreaking as streaming video is today, and the art of creating sound has benefited from a technological revolution.

At the end of the day, an artist's job is to bring the community together. Performing artists are already carrying technology in their pockets that allows them to stream their performances live, and fans have 24/7 access to their favorite performances.

Near Or Far - The Label has Landed

......We're launching a fundraising campaign to support scholarships for Jazz Camps like the ones I attended growing up, and have already raised $760 to that end.

Starting this week I'm meeting with music societies and educational organizations to build on this effort. If you're involved in an organization or can support this cause individually, we'd love to connect you to the best use of your resources. Feel free to reach out to me personally through the contact form on this website, and by all means…Donate!.......

Prohibition Records Official Launch

The online kickoff of Prohibition Records has arrived!

I'm sitting in the "Green Room" at my usual gig on Bourbon St. I've been in a whirlwind for the last 4 months, dreaming up ideas for the label, driving around the country on a tour and research trip, and meeting with all manner of professionals.
